Had a fantastic getaway with friends! We enjoyed exploring local spots like Brighton and Hickstead Showjumping. The pub had great food and friendly staff. The free WiFi was a plus, and we took advantage of the tennis court for some fun competition.
The only downside was that the room felt a bit cramped, which made it tough to move around comfortably.

definitely want to stay in that area again
Friendly staff made check-in easy. Our twin room was clean and had a tea/coffee maker, TV, and a bath with shower. Breakfast was delicious with options like full English and fresh fruit. The pub had a relaxed vibe, and we loved the variety of local beers on tap.

Our group had an awesome time! We explored Gatwick Airport and the beautiful South Coast resort of Brighton. With billiards, table tennis, and darts available. A nice outdoor tennis court, we were never bored. The food was amazing, and the location is perfect for all the local attractions like Hickstead and Wakehurst Place!
Unfortunately, the bathroom in our room had some mould, which was pretty disappointing. It needed attention, but it didn't ruin our stay.

Great staff and food!
Had a really nice time here! The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. Breakfast was tasty, and they had a good selection of beers at the bar. Only bummer was the room was kinda small and the shower didn’t have enough headroom. Still, it was a cozy stay overall!

The twin room offered a good size with tea and coffee supplies, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast had plenty of choices including hot options and cereals, which was a highlight. the service during peak times seemed overwhelmed, leading to delays and less attention to food quality. I received Yorkshire puddings that were not only cold but still slightly frozen in the middle, which was quite disappointing.

Decent food options available in the pub, hearty portions sure to fill you up after a long day. The atmosphere buzzes with activity, providing a lively backdrop to your evening.
The room felt cramped, with a small bathroom making personal space a challenge. Creaky floorboards added an auditory character that some might find charming, but can be disruptive at night. Weak shower pressure and a couple of dusty surfaces in the cupboard stood out. however, that might just not be my cup of tea. A better WiFi connection could improve staying connected—especially if you're out of reach from the lobby.
